The Ardèche is well known for its historical sites with villages like _Chalencon_ and _Beauchastel_. _La grotte de Soyons_ is a major archaeological site and a MUST SEE. Visit _Privas_ with its historical center, or the _Voulte sur Rhône_ castle. Many sport activities are available as well: a descent of the Ardèche gorges in a canoe or a bike ride or walk on the Via Dolce, a 45km trail linking _Saint Laurent du Pape_ to _Le Cheylard_. Fishing is allowed on the campsite riverside.
