With its spruce forests, alpine pastures, traditional farms and picturesque chalets, the Aravis area (with typical villages of la Clusaz and Grand Bornand) has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is famed for its fabulous cheese, the Reblochon that you can taste in cooperative or in local markets. You can hop the mountains and easily reach Lake Annecy for a swim after a nice walk. The Col de la Colombiere is one of the famous pass of the Tour de France.
